Santiago, June 23, 2025. The National Customs Service reported a reinforcement of controls at border crossing points The increase in land cargo and passenger traffic in the north and south of the country, due to the increase in land cargo and passenger traffic in June.

The agency explained that the measure seeks to expedite inspections without affecting traffic flowespecially at the Los Libertadores, Chacalluta and Cardenal Samoré crossings, where the flow of trucks increased by 18% with respect to the previous month.

In addition, the following were incorporated new document scanning and verification technologies to strengthen the detection of irregular goods and improve traceability in border dispatches.
